The £2 million terminal building was built in 1995, replacing a wooden shack.
Check-in desks are located to the left of the entrance as you walk into the terminal building.
The departure lounge is situated to the right of check-in, with the executive lounge accessed through this. When departing from Blackpool airport, remember:
- Ryanair - check in 2 hours prior to departure
- Other scheduled flights - check in 1.5 hours prior to departure
- Holiday and charter flights - check in 3 hours prior to departure
Boarding usually begins around 45 minutes before departure.

Main Terminal - Check In
| Shopping | Perfume, alcohol and cigarettes are all available from the duty-free shop in the departure lounge. |

| Food | Bar and buffet is available on the main concourse of the terminal building |
| Bureau de change | There is a bureau de change next to the information desk on the main concourse. It also sells mobile phone top-up cards. |
| Executive Lounge | The executive lounge is situated just off the main departure lounge. Facilities include PC access points, complimentary refreshments, and Sky TV. |
| Car parking | Short- and long-stay car parks are situated directly in front of the terminal building. |
| Car hire | A Hertz car hire desk is located outside arrivals. |
| Toilets | Toilets are located by the entrance to the terminal building, and in the departure lounge. These include disabled facilities. |
